YiZhu Technology, a Chinese artificial intelligence chip company specializing in general processing-in-memory architecture, has completed a funding round exceeding one billion yuan. This capital injection aims to accelerate the commercialization of its proprietary computing solutions amid growing demand for AI processing power.

The company, which officially began operations in 2022, adheres to a technical roadmap combining general processing-in-memory with ultra-heterogeneous computing. Its research focuses heavily on three-dimensional dynamic random-access memory processing-in-memory technologies. YiZhu’s chips are designed to offer high throughput, cost-effectiveness, and low power consumption. Furthermore, these products maintain compatibility with mainstream software ecosystems, including CUDA and PyTorch, ensuring ease of use for developers.

According to Leiphone, the new funding will support subsequent research and development efforts, product iterations, and broader industrial deployment. YiZhu’s solutions target data centers and AI cloud computing scenarios, promising lower token costs for users. As the market for AI computing power continues to expand, innovations in chip architecture, storage technology, and software ecosystems are becoming critical drivers for bringing new computing technologies to market. The company expects its general processing-in-memory technology and related products to undergo more rigorous market validation as development progresses.
