Pigment secures 250 million dollars in Series E funding led by EQT and Nvidia
Pigment has completed a Series E funding round of 250 million dollars. The French software company announced the capital raise on October 21, 2026. This new investment brings the total amount of capital raised by the company since its founding in 2019 to 650 million dollars. The transaction doubles the company's valuation, which now stands at 2.3 billion dollars. Maddyness reported the story.
The European fund Scaleup Europe Fund, managed by EQT, led the financing round. Nvidia also participated in the investment. The American chipmaker had announced its intention to invest in the French scale-up the previous week, without specifying that the investment would be part of a new funding round. Other participants in the round included WIL, known as World Innovation Lab, and existing investors such as Greenoaks, Iconic, IVP, and Meritech.
Pigment intends to use the new capital to accelerate the development of its planning software using artificial intelligence. The company is focusing on AI agents capable of analyzing corporate financial data, anticipating various scenarios, and automating specific planning tasks. The goal is to enable companies to adapt their decisions more quickly to changes in their business activities. The funding will also support increased investment in research and development, the strengthening of engineering teams, and continued international expansion.
The company now claims more than 100 million dollars in annual recurring revenue, a figure that has doubled in one year. The United States accounts for 60 percent of this revenue. Pigment operates in Paris, New York, Toronto, London, and San Francisco. Its client base includes major corporations such as L'Oréal, Unilever, Danone, and Siemens, as well as technology companies like Anthropic and Snowflake.
Co-founders Éléonore Crespo and Romain Niccoli stated that enterprise planning will evolve more in the coming years than it did over the previous three decades. They noted that historical tools are being surpassed and that the world's most advanced AI companies now conduct their planning in Pigment. With investor support, the company is moving quickly to make autonomous planning a reality for all businesses. AI agents that manage end-to-end planning workflows and transform decisions into actions will allow companies to react to changes as they occur. Crespo previously expressed a desire to grow large enough to begin making acquisitions, an ambition that has not yet been realized. She also mentioned the possibility of an initial public offering in the future, but stated that it is not a current priority.
