Legora, a Swedish legal technology company, has closed a series e financing round worth 550 million dollars. The company valuation increased from 5.6 billion to 8.8 billion dollars. Atreides Management led the round. Additional investors include Baron Capital, Fidelity Management and Research Company, Glade Brook Capital Partners and J.P. Morgan. The new capital will primarily flow into international expansion and further development of the Legora aOS platform. The funding follows a period of exceptionally rapid growth. Within less than 18 months, Legora increased its annual recurring revenue from one million to 100 million dollars according to company reports. For the next 100 million dollars, the company required less than six months. The annual recurring revenue now exceeds 200 million dollars. The new valuation of 8.8 billion dollars corresponds to an increase of approximately 57 percent compared to the previous valuation of 5.6 billion dollars. Legora describes this growth as exceptionally fast compared to other enterprise software companies with a direct sales organization.

The company does not provide an independent comparison basis for this claim. The annual recurring revenue describes the value of recurring revenues annualized and is not equivalent to actual annual turnover. The development nevertheless demonstrates how quickly specialized AI applications can establish themselves in a market previously shaped by traditional workflows and human expertise. Legora aOS is an AI agent-based operating system for legal work. The platform supports lawyers in research, document review and creation as well as handling complex matters. With the increasing spread of agentic AI, Legora aims to further develop these functions. AI agents should in future be able to execute connected work processes over multiple steps. New products for automated capture and processing of incoming legal inquiries are planned. Another focus is on so-called horizon scanning. Relevant legal and regulatory developments should be identified early and prepared for law firms and legal departments.

Legal research should also be expanded through additional AI functions. Legora aims to bundle various tasks within legal organizations on a common platform. A significant part of the financing will flow into further expansion in North America. The business in the United States has developed quickly. Legora opened its first US office in spring 2025. The United States is already the strongest revenue market according to company reports. More than half of the AmLaw 50 law firms are now part of the client base. These are the 50 highest revenue US law firms according to the relevant industry ranking. The company is present in North America with locations in New York, Denver, Chicago, Houston, San Francisco, Toronto and Mexico City. In addition to further expansion of the US business, Legora plans additional investments in existing markets in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
