Nvidia to invest $3 billion in Meta shares as companies expand collaboration on AI agent Muse
Nvidia will invest $3 billion in Meta shares as the two companies expand their collaboration in artificial intelligence. The partners will jointly develop language models and the AI agent Muse. Meta will also increase the amount of Nvidia equipment in its data centers. The collaboration is part of the strategy to create a personal superintelligence that can assist people in daily life. The AI agent Muse will gain access to users' personal services. One of the main joint projects of Nvidia and Meta is the AI agent Muse. According to the developers, it will become a personal assistant capable of working with email, calendar, payment services, health apps, smart home systems, and online stores.
The companies also plan to develop mechanisms to control the actions of AI agents so that they do not exceed the limits set by the user. For example, when connecting to third-party services, the security system should prevent actions for which the user has not given permission. Meta also plans to increase the amount of Nvidia equipment in its data centers. They combine thousands of servers on which neural networks are trained, requests are processed, and AI services operate. According to the companies, using Nvidia technologies will improve the efficiency of Meta's models and AI agents.
RB.ru reported the story. Other semiconductor manufacturers, AMD and Broadcom, have also expressed their readiness to acquire Meta shares. The investments will allow technology companies to strengthen their positions in the field of AI and expand the computing power needed to develop more complex models, Meta clarified.
