Freya secures 6 million SEK in funding round
Freya, a Swedish AI company, has raised 6 million SEK in its first funding round. The capital is sourced from various investors, including Foundry Ventures, Longswan Ventures, Propel Capital, Saminvest, Schyssta Änglar, Sting, and several selected angels. Freya is known for its innovative technology that detects both drones and their operators, integrating this capability with its AI platform to provide comprehensive situational awareness and proactive insights.
The company aims to enhance security by developing personal alarms for security personnel, enabling them to receive alerts and information before incidents occur. Currently, Freya sells its technology across five countries but does not sell directly to end customers, instead partnering with security firms that install the systems for their clients. According to the company, security firms receive inquiries about drone detection weekly, highlighting the demand in the market.
