ARCHIVESTOCK, a Tokyo-based startup operating a luxury fashion resale platform, announced on April 8 that it has completed a funding round through a third-party allotment with Sazaby League as the lead investor. The amount raised was not disclosed.

The company, founded in November 2022 and officially launched in August 2023, focuses on the preservation and inheritance of culturally valuable fashion items. Its platform, ARCHIVESTOCK, has gained traction among fashion-sensitive users, particularly in the Z generation. Monthly transaction volume in August 2026 grew more than 340% year-over-year.

ARCHIVESTOCK reports that over 85% of items listed on its platform and over 93% of purchased items are classified as high-end brands such as luxury houses and designer labels. The platform offers a professional authentication service called "Pro Authentication," which supports over 5,500 brands, reportedly the highest among major Japanese flea market apps.

In October 2024, ARCHIVESTOCK was selected as a finalist in the Kering Generation Award, hosted by Kering and the CIC Institute in Japan, standing out as the only resale-focused company among 11 finalists chosen from over 120 applicants.

The funding will be used to strengthen the transaction infrastructure and advance feature development for both sellers and buyers, aiming to enhance the overall trading experience. ARCHIVESTOCK envisions building a sustainable ecosystem where culturally significant fashion items are passed down across generations.

Sazaby League, a lifestyle company managing over 40 brands including Afternoon Tea, Ron Herman, agete, and ANAYI, expressed strong interest in the secondary market and praised the dedication of ARCHIVESTOCK's founding team. The company aims to support ARCHIVESTOCK's growth and contribute to the platform's continued success.
