Bose acquired Skullcandy, focusing on young users
Bose announced the acquisition of Skullcandy, marking its third purchase in the music industry this October. After acquiring Firelight Technologies and Stream Unlimited, Bose solidified its collaboration with Skullcandy, which has long been known for integrating Bose technologies into its headphones. Bose's decision to fully merge follows a history of close cooperation between the two companies.
Although Bose holds a majority stake in an educational institution, it confirmed that Skullcandy, based in Utah, will continue its operations. The acquisition aims to expand Bose’s audience by including younger users, as Skullcandy is particularly popular among this demographic.
