Waymo has raised 5 billion dollars in its initial debt financing round. Leading lenders included Pimco, Blackstone, and Sixth Street, with additional participation from Capital Group, T. Rowe Price, Apollo, and Fidelity. Goldman Sachs acted as the sole lead arranger for the loan deal. This funding follows a previous capital round of 16 billion dollars earlier this year, valuing the company at 126 billion dollars. Waymo states that the combination of equity and debt enhances its financial flexibility for ongoing expansion.
