Ted Lasso Season 4 Premieres on Apple TV

Ted Lasso Season 4 debuted today on Apple TV. The season, which was not expected, is now available in full on the streaming platform. The season sees the return of the popular series, which had concluded its third season three years ago. The season follows Ted Lasso, played by Jason Sudeikis, as he returns to Richmond to face his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second-division women's football team. Throughout the season, Ted and the team must learn to take risks they never imagined. The season is the latest installment of the critically acclaimed series, which has won 13 Emmy Awards and is a ratings success for Apple TV.

The season begins with Ted in the United States near his son, while Rebecca, Leslie, and Keeley travel to bring him back to Richmond. The first episode sets the stage for the season, with a nostalgic feel that recalls the series' iconic locations and characters. The season introduces a new cast of characters, including a pair of sister defenders who argue at every opportunity and a goalkeeper who refuses to wear gloves. The season also features performances by Faye Marsay and Tanya Reynolds, who plays Ted's ambitious and secretive assistant. The season addresses issues related to women's football, including sexist prejudices, financial and commercial aspects, and the challenge of balancing motherhood with the desire to play.

The season has been praised for its humor, tenderness, and new characters, although some critics note that the series maintains an overly optimistic tone. The season is available on the Apple TV website, as well as through Prime Video Channels and the Canal+ offer. Les Numeriques reported the story.
