SiMa.ai, a US start-up that builds AI chips for robots, drones and cars, announced a 150 million USD series C round on September 29 2026. The round values the company at 1.45 billion USD and brings total capital raised to 500 million USD. Fidelity Management and Research Company and Amplify led the investment, with Dell Technologies Capital, Maverick Capital, Point72, StepStone Group and new investors AllianceBernstein, Barings Capital, JPMorgan and the State of Michigan also participating.

The company said demand exceeded its target amount. SiMa.ai develops specialized silicon and software that lets AI run inside edge devices without relying on expensive GPUs. The funding will expand its Palette Neural Fabric software platform and accelerate next generation chip development for deployment in drones, humanoid robots, automotive ADAS and in‑vehicle AI systems.

The founder and CEO Krishna Rangsaa said the capital will speed up the build out of a physical AI platform.
