"Among other voters, opposition prevails, with 58 percent of respondents in this category opposing the return to compulsory military service. Supporters constitute 39 percent, and only 3 percent have no formed opinion," the report stated. As reported by wp.pl, the survey was conducted by United Surveys on a nationwide sample of 1,000 people using telephone interviews (CATI) and online surveys (CAWI) from October 2 to 4. The margin of error is reported to be 3 percent, with a confidence level of 0.95. Mandatory military service has been suspended in Poland since 2008, but not abolished, as regulations primarily in the Law on the Defense of the Fatherland allow for its reinstatement in crisis situations.
