OneXPlayer unveils X2 Mini handheld gaming device with AMOLED display and 144Hz refresh rate

OneXPlayer has launched its new X2 Mini handheld gaming device. The company announced the release on August 31, 2026. The device targets portable gaming enthusiasts with a compact design and high-performance features.

The X2 Mini features an 8.8-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920x1200 pixels and a maximum brightness of 1100 nits. It supports a 144Hz refresh rate and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. The device includes a cooling system with two 5400 RPM fans, four copper heat pipes, and detachable RGB-lit controllers. It also offers Hall Effect buttons with adjustable travel distance and dual vibration motors.

Under the hood, the X2 Mini uses Intel’s Arc G3 Extreme processor with 14 cores, delivering multi-core performance comparable to the AMD Ryzen AI 7 350. The integrated Arc B390 graphics feature 12 Xe3 cores, achieving about 90% of the performance of an RTX 4050 mobile GPU. The system comes with either 24GB or 32GB of soldered LPDDR5 RAM and supports storage upgrades via a full-size M.2 2280 slot and a mini SSD port using PCIe 4.0 x2.

Connectivity options include USB4, USB 3.2 Type-C, USB 3.2 Type-A, TF 4.0 card slot, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The device has a removable 85Wh battery and can function as a tablet when controllers are detached or as a laptop when a keyboard is connected. OneXPlayer is taking orders through its official online store.

The starting price is set at 1999 USD, with a suggested retail price of 2199 USD. The company attributes the higher pricing to ongoing DRAM chip shortages in the market.
