Mr.Mind Presents AI Care Robot Service to Gyeonggi Province Municipalities
Mr.Mind has introduced an elderly care solution featuring an artificial intelligence care robot to 31 cities and counties within Gyeonggi Province.
VentureSquare reported that the company participated in a business briefing held on the 1st at the Gyeonggi Province Human Resources Development Institute. This event followed the selection of Mr.Mind as a final company in the 2026 Smart Social Service Innovation Contest. The briefing served as a venue to examine ways to link the technologies of selected companies with new social services in Gyeonggi Province for the year 2027. Personnel in charge of regional autonomous social service investment projects from the 31 municipalities attended the session.
The service utilizes an artificial intelligence care robot designed as a companion doll that engages in natural conversations with elderly individuals to provide emotional interaction. The system combines conversational technology with a 24-hour monitoring function to detect signs of danger or depression. When the robot identifies abnormal conversation patterns or words suggesting risk, it analyzes and summarizes the content into a report. These reports are then delivered to local government welfare officers and service agencies so they can review the status of the elderly person and determine necessary care measures.
Additionally, the robot includes an emergency call feature for immediate crises. If a user says phrases such as "save me" or "help me," the system connects them to a 24-hour monitoring center. The center verifies the situation and can coordinate with emergency response systems, including 119, if required. The company distinguishes between risk signals found in daily conversation, which are reported to welfare officers, and urgent situations requiring immediate response via the monitoring center.
Mr.Mind stated that it has developed the service to be usable via voice conversation without complex device operation. The company is currently refining care content, conversational functions, and the emergency response system based on feedback collected from actual care sites. While the company has been selected for the contest, the introduction of the service across all 31 cities and counties is not yet confirmed, and specific operational scales or regions have not been announced.
