Flying camera pioneer achieves unicorn status with $1 billion valuation
A flying camera company has reportedly reached a valuation of $1 billion following its latest funding round. This milestone positions the company among the ranks of unicorns in the industry.
The company is anticipated to generate revenue of approximately 600 to 700 million for the fourth quarter of this year. Previously, in 2025, the company’s revenue surpassed 1 billion in local currency.
This year, the company has disclosed two rounds of funding, including a Series D round involving various investors, and a D+ round from a subsidiary of a major corporation. Sources close to the company suggest that discussions for financing require potential investors to be at a partner level within their respective institutions.
Established in 2014 by two Stanford University PhDs, the company launched its first portable drone, known as Hover Camera Passport, in 2016. This product is recognized as the pioneer of flying cameras.
The drone features a fully enclosed rotor structure, a carbon fiber shell, and automated follow shooting capabilities, earning over 30 domestic and international awards, including the Red Dot Design Award, IF Design, and CES accolades.
In 2019, the company introduced the V-Coptr Falcon, a new model of drone. In 2022, it unveiled a new flying camera brand, with the first product, the X1, weighing only 125 grams and designed for easy operation without a remote control.
