DeepSeek has confirmed a funding round amounting to $7.5 billion, as reported by ITHome on September 24. This funding comes as the company announced that its annual revenue has exceeded $1 billion. Just a few months prior, DeepSeek's annual revenue was reported to be less than $500 million.

The significant revenue growth is attributed to a recent price increase for its API services and the sustained popularity of its large models in the market. DeepSeek is currently moving forward with its second round of funding and is preparing for a listing on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, which is expected to boost investor confidence.

DeepSeek aims to complete this funding round by the end of October, with a fundraising target of 50 billion yuan, approximately equivalent to $7.5 billion, and a valuation target of 500 billion yuan. Sources indicate that the company is allocating over 70% of its computing power to model training, leaving less than 30% for inference operations on existing models. It was noted that the price adjustments did not lead to customer loss, with user demand remaining strong. Internal testing has shown that the company's lightweight models can run stably on gaming graphics cards, capable of handling most daily tasks for users.
