Thailand’s deputy prime minister calls Techsauce Global Summit 2026 a national platform to be proud of

Thailand’s deputy prime minister and minister of higher education, science, research and innovation, Professor Dr. Yotchanan Wongswas, told the closing session of Techsauce Global Summit 2026 that the event is no longer just a conference but a national platform the country can take pride in. He pledged to work with Techsauce to identify policy ideas and regulatory changes that can turn the conversations at the summit into action for the country’s progress.

Techsauce Global Summit 2026 concluded on August 29, 2026, after three days of programming that brought together startups, investors, embassies and innovation leaders from around the world. Professor Yotchanan highlighted the role of Mihnmi Arnon Lertratsameekij, co-founder and CEO of Techsauce, in building the platform over a decade. He recalled meeting her years ago at MIT Media Lab and praised her global outreach to position Thailand as a connector of people, technology and opportunities.

The deputy prime minister said Techsauce has evolved beyond computer science and artificial intelligence to include wellness, food technology and other converging fields. He argued that advanced technologies should be treated as public goods accessible to humanity rather than proprietary assets tied to any single country or company. He cited the COVID-19 vaccine effort as an example of how global collaboration accelerates impact.

Professor Yotchanan also framed the summit as a moment for Thai startups to gather feedback from visitors, investors and peers. He advised founders to treat booth traffic as a signal to double down or pivot, and urged investors to use the event to spot new trends and deal flow.
