Oracle announces $20 billion funding plan
On November 2, Oracle announced plans to raise a total of $20 billion through debt sales and new stock issuance. This funding is expected to consist of $10 billion from each method.
The announcement follows Oracle's statement at the end of last month during its annual investor day, where it noted that the additional capital market financing for fiscal years 2027 to 2030 would not exceed $20 billion. This indicates that the company has utilized its entire financing capacity for four fiscal years in one go.
During the 2026 investor day, Oracle projected that its overall revenue's compound annual growth rate (CAGR) would exceed 35% from fiscal years 2026 to 2030. It also anticipated that expenditures would begin to decrease after a peak in the fiscal years 2027 to 2028, with free cash flow expected to turn positive in fiscal year 2028 and reach over $30 billion in fiscal year 2029.
