On October 13, 2026, OMRON announced plans to acquire the American industrial computer (IPC) manufacturer OnLogic and its parent company Interlogic through a "reverse triangular merger." The total value of the transaction is $675 million, which will be conducted entirely in cash. OMRON will establish a special purpose company in the U.S. that will merge with Interlogic, which will remain as the surviving entity and become a wholly owned subsidiary of OMRON, while OnLogic will become an indirect subsidiary of OMRON.

Following the acquisition, OnLogic will continue to operate as an independent business within the OMRON group, maintaining its direct-to-customer sales model and existing brand. The current management team, including OnLogic CEO Sean Larkin, is expected to remain in place.

OMRON stated that its goal is to transform its industrial automation division into a business focused on digital transformation in manufacturing environments and physical artificial intelligence. The integration with OnLogic is expected to support this transformation.

OMRON intends to combine OnLogic's IPC with its high-precision control technologies to accelerate the development of the next generation of physical AI platforms. Additionally, OMRON plans to expand its presence in each other's strong markets through integrated sales channels and collaboratively develop solutions based on their combined expertise.
