Naboo acquires British rival Pro-ven to expand internationally
Naboo is accelerating its efforts across the English Channel. The French startup, which develops a corporate event booking and management platform, has announced the acquisition of its British competitor Pro-ven. The financial details of the acquisition have not been disclosed.
Founded in 2005, Pro-ven assists major international groups in sourcing, negotiating, and managing their event expenditures. The expertise of this company will enable Naboo to transform it into the headquarters for its operations in the United Kingdom.
This acquisition comes at a time when procurement departments of large groups are seeking better visibility on event spending amid a revolution in artificial intelligence, which allows for the automation of the purchasing process, from supplier research to contract signing.
Maxime Eduardo, founder and CEO of Naboo, stated, "Event organizers and procurement departments today have very high expectations regarding user experience, compliance, payment simplification, expenditure analysis, and transparency. These requirements cannot be met by a side activity within entities still largely focused on business travel. This is precisely the leader we are building today with Pro-ven." He added, "The future leader in event purchasing management will be a pure player."
With Pro-ven now under its wing, the French company manages a volume of 300 million dollars in event expenditures. The potential to exploit is far greater, as the global market for professional meetings and events is estimated at nearly 400 billion dollars. The opportunity is even more significant since this market remains highly fragmented and poorly digitized.
To better capitalize on this opportunity, Naboo completed a funding round of 70 million dollars earlier this year, aimed at supporting its conquest of the American market. The French company, which acquired the Bizmeeting platform launched by Privateaser in 2024, aims for a billion dollars in business volume by 2027. The revenue was reported at 17 million euros in 2025.
