MetaOptics Secures Up to $10 Million Investment Commitment from White Lion Capital
MetaOptics announced on September 21 2026 that it has secured a commitment for up to $10 million from White Lion Capital, a California based investment firm. The commitment is set out in a warrant deed that allows the investor to purchase up to 4 million new ordinary shares, potentially raising the full $10 million. This is the first institutional investment in the United States for the Singapore listed company, which listed on the Catalist board one year earlier. The funding will accelerate the expansion of MetaOptics operations in the United States and support the construction of the group’s first full stack semiconductor production line in the United States.
The line will be equipped with 12 inch DUV immersion lithography tools and will enable localized manufacturing of MetaOptics’ meta lens and module technologies for American customers. The investment also provides capital to scale production of MetaOptics’ meta lens and module products for use in consumer electronics, AR VR wearables, automotive sensing and AI data center applications. The company said the capital will help fast track customer projects and bring core meta lens technology to the United States. White Lion Capital’s senior associate Gabriel Gumbiner said the company is one of the few in the world that can design, mass produce and test glass based meta lens at scale.
He said the investment reflects confidence in MetaOptics’ growth vision and its expanding presence in the United States market. The funding is expected to support the company’s plans to integrate its meta lens technology into customer CPO designs and to scale production of its smallest meta lens which measures 0.1 millimeter. The investment marks a significant step for MetaOptics as it seeks to deepen its presence in the United States market and to expand its manufacturing capabilities.
