The Portuguese startup Granter has closed an investment round of 1.6 million euros.

El Referente reported the story, noting that 3XP Global led the operation through the Impact Innovation Fund. This occurred within the framework of the Venture Capital Program of the Capitalization and Resilience Fund, which is managed by the Banco Português de Fomento. Other participants in the round included Celtis Venture Partners, Gateway Ventures, and Deel.

Granter uses artificial intelligence to simplify access to European funds. The company is relaunching its AI Grant Consultant product with a chat-based proposal to make the user experience more intuitive. This platform allows organizations to use an artificial intelligence agent to identify funding opportunities, prepare applications, and manage approved projects. The company is also offering a free trial period to help entities of all sizes begin preparing applications. The technology aims to reduce a process that previously took weeks or required specialized consultants to under one hour.

The new capital will be used to more than double the company's team by the end of the year and accelerate entry into new markets. While Portugal remains the primary market, the company intends to expand operations into Spain, Germany, and Italy. The United States is also a medium-term priority.

Since winning the PITCH competition at the Web Summit in November 2025, the company has helped over 140 firms apply for more than 30 million euros in funding. Its clients include Galp, Fidelidade, the Portuguese Navy, MC Sonae, and ANA Aeroportos. The startup specifically aims to support small and medium-sized enterprises and other startups to increase their access to European financing.

This latest investment follows previous funding of 400,000 euros from Techstars, Mission, and AngelsWay, bringing the total funding for the company to 2 million euros.
