Celes Raises 5,000,000 USD to Expand Retail Software Across Latin America
Celes has raised 5,000,000 USD in a capital funding round to scale its operations within retail companies across Latin America.
Startups Latam reported the story.
The funding round was led by the Brazilian fund SP Ventures. Other participants in the investment included Fulcrum Global Capital from the United States, 30N Ventures from Mexico, and Taram Capital from Chile.
Founded in 2023, the company develops predictive algorithms and artificial intelligence agents. These tools are used to calculate demand, define the daily distribution of products in physical stores, and optimize inventory. The software is designed to address issues such as immobilized inventory and empty shelves caused by forecasting failures.
The platform integrates with existing enterprise resource planning systems such as Oracle or SAP rather than requiring retailers to replace their current systems. This architecture allows for the automation of the logistics cycle without implementation friction. Currently, the system executes more than 90% of replenishment decisions autonomously and processes 55 million daily forecasts for over 8,500 stores across eight countries.
Clients of the company include Tiendas Neto, FEMSA Salud, and Olímpica. The president of Olímpica S.A. confirmed that the implementation reduced costs associated with merchandise control and handling, as well as reducing out-of-stock items on shelves.
Celes intends to use the Series A capital to formally begin expansion into Brazil. Additionally, the company aims to consolidate its existing operations in Chile, Mexico, and Colombia.
