Big 3 ties for lead in CELOL Série A after round eight

The group stage of CELOL Série A entered its final stretch and the battle for first place could not be more balanced. After the weekend matches, three teams appear tied at the top of the standings: emBraza! Esports, Smoke Tram Esports and Marere E-Sports. The trio reaches the end of the eighth round with identical campaigns of seven wins and only one loss, forming the “Big 3” of this stage of the competition. The group stage consists of eleven rounds, meaning each team still has three matches remaining before the playoffs are defined. The format states that the first six positions advance to the playoffs, a knockout phase that will later determine the champion of CELOL Série A of Liga GG. Big 3 dominates the top of the CELOL Série A table. emBraza!, Smoke Tram and Marere arrive at the eighth round with an 87.5% success rate and begin to stand out in the fight for the first positions. But the 7-1 tie is far from allowing tranquility. Just behind appear NKZ Vorax and LOS Academy, both with six wins and two losses. Only one victory separates the two teams from the trio that leads the championship. This means that a stumble by Big 3 in the upcoming rounds could quickly change the top configuration of the table. The Neon Esports, with a 5-3 record, currently completes the group of the first six positions. If the group stage ended with the current classification, therefore emBraza!, Smoke Tram, Marere, NKZ Vorax, LOS Academy and Neon would be the teams classified for the playoffs.

But there are still three rounds left to change this scenario. The dispute is not only for the lead. The upper part of the table draws attention for the tie, but the upcoming matches will also be decisive to define who will continue in the competition. The Invictus Team, the first team outside the classification zone, occupies the seventh position with three wins and five losses. Below them appear Shark Bite White, Shark Bite Black and Juventus Gaming Red, all with 2-6 records. Smoke Tram Ascension is in 11th place, with one win and seven losses. With only three rounds remaining in the group stage, the margin for recovery decreases. For those inside the Top 6, each victory can represent more security in the classification. For those below, any loss can make the path to the playoffs even more difficult. Three rounds to define the six playoff qualifiers. The eighth round leaves two clear focuses to follow in this final stretch. At the top, emBraza!, Smoke Tram and Marere dispute who will break the tie and assume the lead. NKZ Vorax and LOS Academy, with 6-2, remain just behind and can still take advantage of any stumble by the trio. Meanwhile, the line that separates sixth from seventh place gains increasing importance. It is precisely this line that will determine who proceeds to the playoffs, when the dispute leaves the group stage and enters its decisive stage. With three rounds ahead, there is still room for changes.

But after eight games, each result becomes heavier. Fantasy GG of Liga GG is officially launched. And those who follow this final stretch of the group stage now have a new way to participate in CELOL. The Fantasy GG has been officially launched, bringing to Liga GG competitions a system in which the public can build their own virtual team with real players. The logic follows what happens inside the matches: the athletes' performance generates points for the participants' lineups, which also compete for positions in their own ranking. With Big 3 tied for the lead and only three rounds until the six playoff qualifiers are known, the choices inside Fantasy GG also gain an extra ingredient: follow closely who can make the difference precisely at the most important moment of the group stage.
