Aventix secures funding led by Kost Capital for product rollout
Aventix, a bioanalysis company based in Mölndal, has successfully closed a new funding round. The company has raised 1,200,000 euros, approximately 13,600,000 kronor, in a round led by Danish impact investor Kost Capital, alongside Swedish Bodil Sidén and Voima Ventures. The financing will support the commercial rollout of Aventix's first product, Scarlett 01. This tool is designed for use in chemistry, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics.
By combining sensors with advanced software, Aventix aims to provide faster and more precise experimental results, potentially reducing errors and facilitating better-informed decisions. The founders of Aventix are serial entrepreneurs Erik Gatenholm and Hector Martinez, who co-founded Cellink and later Bico Group. Erik Gatenholm stated, “We live in a remarkable time for the scientific world.
The pace of scientific discoveries is increasing, but progress will increasingly depend on how efficiently we can collect and analyze reliable data to develop, train, and apply AI models.” Bodil Sidén, a partner at Kost Capital, expressed enthusiasm about supporting the team, noting, “Scarlett 01 is just the first proof of what this platform can be.” Breakit reported the story.
